Snowfall

On a trip I was camping in my car. I fell asleep looking at the stars and thinking other worlds. Later I awoke to a stygian darkness that made it hard to believe I had been able to see the stars earlier that night. I opened the car door to go out and take a look and fond to my shock that it was stuck.

Lying on my back I kicked the door open with both feet only to find that my car was buried under about a foot of fresh snow and more was coming down fast. Knowing my car would spend more time parked than I had intended it to be if I didn't do something fast I started it and slid most of the way down a mountain.

The next morning I hiked back out and looked at the transformed landscape, like something from another world.
