Elusive 1

I came to the mine first by myself. I don't need to describe its grandeur. The pictures are enough.

The vast cavern and maze of tunnels I discovered were enough to warrant return trips but the real promise was the tunnel that can clearly be seen across the water. A rock tied to a string measured the water to be in excess of 100 feet deep. Safe crossing would be no mean feat.

My second solo trip here saw me purchasing a rubber baby pool at wal mart in lieu of rubber raft at 4:00am. The pool unfortunately was not sufficent to gain access to the tunnel, but proved quite nice while relaxing later that afternoon.
